Evanston Express Travel Softball Tryouts
Tryouts will be held Saturday, August 21st and Saturday, Oct 16, 2010, at Evanston Township High School for next summer's Evanston Express 12-inch fast-pitch travel softball teams. An affiliate of the Evanston Baseball-Softball Association (EBSA) the four age-grouped Express teams are for girls who want to advance beyond the "rec" level and prepare for high school softball.
Girls from any suburb or high school district may try out. Players also may participate in 2011 "house" leagues – though their primary commitment must be to the travel team and schedule. Age eligibility is determined by age as of Jan. 1, 2010. Example: a girl turning 13 on Jan. 2 is eligible for the 12-and-Under team.
Tryouts will be held on the newly renovated varsity field behind the high school with parking in the lot off Church Street west of Dodge Avenue. Parents are asked to attend a 10-minute registration and orientation session prior to their daughter's two-hour tryout.

Girls should bring their glove, cleats and a full water bottle. The tryout schedule:
Saturday 8/21:
14U - 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
(born on or after 1/1/96)
Saturday 10/16:
10U - 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
(born on or after 1/1/00)
12U - 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
(born on or after 1/1/98)
